Magnesium sulfate, suitable for cell culture, bioreagent. Magnesium sulfate is a calcium antagonist and a potent L-type calcium channel inhibitor. Magnesium sulfate has anti-inflammatory and an anticonvulsant activity. Magnesium sulfate is a tocolytic agent. Magnesium sulfate can be used for severe pre-eclampsis/eclampsia research. Magnesium sulfate (3 μM) inhibitS PI(4,5)P2-specific phospholipase C activity and subsequent calcium release in cultured myometrial cells[2]. Magnesium sulfate (20 mM, 6 h) inhibits the LPS-induced inflammatory molecules (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, etc.) production and NF-κB activation in RAW264.7 cells[3].
