| use | N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-(S)-2-morpholine methanol is a useful research chemical. N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-(S)-2-morpholine methanol is mainly used in medicine and pesticide intermediates. |
| preparation | at 0 ℃, borane (1M,20mL) was dropwise added to the solution of (S)-4-(tert-butoxycarbonyl) morpholine -2-formic acid (2.50g,10.8mmol) in THF(25mL) , for 15min. After adding, warm the reaction mixture to room temperature and stir for 2 small . At 0°C, the reaction mixture was quenched with MeOH/AcOH(9:1,10mL). The mixture was then concentrated and the residue poured into 35mL of water and 35mL EtOAc. The organic layer was washed with a saturated Na2CO3(30mL) aqueous solution, dried with Na2SO4 and concentrated to obtain N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-(S)-2-morpholine methanol (2.6g,100%), which was a colorless oil. |
