1-acetyl-5-nitroindazole is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H8N4O3. The following is a description of its nature, use, formulation and safety information:

Nature:
1-acetyl -5-nitroindazole is a yellow crystal, soluble in acid, alcohol and organic solvents, insoluble in water. It has a certain degree of stability and is relatively stable at room temperature, but external stimuli such as heat, friction and impact can cause an explosion.

Use:
1-Acetyl -5-nitroindazole is commonly used as a synthetic intermediate for high-energy chemicals. Its explosive properties make it particularly suitable for the preparation of explosives and propellants, such as common rocket engine propellants.

Preparation Method:
The synthesis of 1-acetyl-5-nitroindazole is usually carried out by the following steps: First, pyridine and nitric acid are mixed in an organic solvent, and then a nitrating agent is added to the mixture, stirred, and cooled to 0°C or less. Next, the 2,4-dinitroindazole after removal of the alkaline substance was dissolved in anhydrous dimethylformamide. Finally, the aluminum oxide solution is slowly added dropwise, and the reaction temperature is 0-5°C. The final product, 1-acetyl -5-nitroindazole, is formed.
