Nature:
DEDP is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with an aromatic odor similar to benzene. It has low toxicity and vapor pressure, and is soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ethers, and alkanes. It can evaporate slowly in the air, but is almost insoluble in water.
Use:
DEDP is mainly used as an intermediate for organic phosphorus ester antioxidants and flame retardants.
