3-nitro-4-acetic acid pyridine (acid) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C7H5N3O4.
Nature:
-Appearance: White crystalline powdery solid.
-Melting point: about 160-162°C.
-Solubility: Soluble in alcohol, ester and alkaline solution, slightly soluble in ether and ketone, insoluble in water.
-Chemical properties: 3-nitro-4-acetic acid pyridine has a pyridine ring and a nitro group and a carboxyl substituent. It can be used as an acidic compound to participate in organic synthesis reactions, such as reaction with nucleophiles such as ammonia.

2. 3-nitropyridine reacts with cyanoacetic acid under alkaline conditions to generate 3-nitro-4-acetic acid pyridine.
