8-Amino-2-tetrazol-5-yl-4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H6N4O.

Nature:
The compound is white crystal or light yellow solid, with good thermal stability and solubility. It is almost insoluble in water at room temperature, but soluble in most organic solvents, such as ethanol, methanol and ether solvents.

Use:
8-amino-2-tetrazol-5-yl-4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran is commonly used as a dye intermediate. It can be used to synthesize compounds with fluorescent properties, such as azo dyes and fluorescent dyes. In addition, it can also be used in the preparation of biomarkers and bioimaging reagents.

Preparation Method:
8-amino-2-tetrazol-5-yl-4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran can be obtained by oxidation of phenol and glycine. First, phenol and glycine react under basic conditions to form 4H-1-chromen-4-one. Then, the ketone compound is reacted with hydrogen peroxide to obtain the target product.
