Method:
(R)-( )-1,2-epoxytetradecane can be prepared by the following steps:
1. First, tetradecane reacts with hydrogen peroxide to obtain the corresponding tetradecane hydroperoxide.
2. Then, tetradecane hydroperoxide is heated to cause epoxidation reaction to generate (R)-( )-1,2-epoxytetradecane.
