Preparation Method:
(R)-(-) methanol can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. reacting (R)-(1-methylpyrrol-3-yl) methylamine with an oxidizing agent (such as peracetic acid or tert-butyl sodium hydroxide) to obtain the corresponding aldehyde;
2. The aldehyde reacts with hydrogen and a platinum catalyst (such as platinum hydroxide) to reduce (R)-(r) methanol.
