12609-80-2 - Introduction
DEAE Sephadex A- 25 is an anion exchange matrix used for separation, enrichment and purification of proteins, enzymes and other biological macromolecules. It has high ion exchange capacity and strong adsorption capacity, and can interact with biological molecules with positive charge. DEAE Sephadex A- 25 is able to adsorb negatively charged proteins on its surface, thereby achieving its separation or purification.
DEAE Sephadex A- 25 is generally prepared by reacting the cation exchange matrix dextran gel with diethylammonium chloride (DEAE). During the reaction, DEAE will replace some hydroxyl groups on the dextran gel, making it have anion exchange properties.
some safety precautions should be taken before using DEAE Sephadex A- 25. Avoid inhaling powders or solutions and avoid prolonged contact with the skin and eyes. Chemical protective gloves, goggles or face shield should be worn during operation to ensure safety.
