3-Oxo-2, 3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-4-carbonitrile is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H8N2O.
The compound is a solid with white to light yellow crystals. It has a melting point of 159-163°C and is soluble in some organic solvents, such as ethanol and chloroform. It is stable in air, but easily hydrolyzed under strong alkaline conditions.
