solubility: slightly soluble in tetrahydronaphthalene and xylene; Green in concentrated sulfuric acid, dark purple precipitate after dilution; Blue in alkaline powder solution, dark blue red in case of acid.

Use
The pigment variety is C.I. The bromination product of Violet 10 is reduced and has two different crystal forms: α-crystal form is obtained by dissolving and precipitating concentrated sulfuric acid, which has high coloring strength and transparency; the β-form product is obtained by heating the α-form product in N-methylpyrrolidone or stirring it with an organic solvent. Mainly used in industrial coatings and plastic coloring.
