1,2-Dimethyl-1H-imidazole-4-sulfonyl chloride can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. First, sodium 1,2-dimethyl -1H-imidazole-4-sulfonyl chloride is reacted with a nitroso compound to generate nitrosimidazole sulfonate.
2. Then, the nitrosimidazole sulfonate is reacted with sulfuryl chloride to generate 1,2-dimethyl-1H-imidazole-4-sulfonyl chloride.
