Method:
- Azetidine-1,2-Carboxylic acid 1-tert-butyl ester can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. First, L-Aminobutyric acid is reacted with a L-tert-butoxycarbonylating agent such as t-butyl hydroxymethyl carbonate under basic conditions to produce L-tert-butoxycarbonyl-L-aminobutyric acid.
2. Then, 1-tert-butoxycarbonyl-l-aminobutyric acid and diethyl carbonate (or other appropriate carbonic acid reagent) are subjected to a cycloesterification reaction under alkaline conditions to produce Azetidine-1,2-Carboxylic acid 1-tert-butyl ester.
