Nicotinic anhydride(3-Picrylpropionic anhydride) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C11H5N3O7 and a molecular weight of 275.17g/mol. The following is a description of its nature, use, preparation and safety information:

-The preparation method of Nicotinic anhydride is more complicated. Generally, 3-picolinic acid (or its salt) is used to react with nitric acid to generate 3-picolinic acid nitrate, it then reacts with acetic anhydride to form Nicotinic anhydride.
