Hydridotrakis (triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I), also known as tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I) chloride, chemical formula [RhCl(PPh3)4], is an organometallic compound. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:

Nature:
1. Hydridotetrakis(triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I) is a colorless crystal, soluble in organic solvents.
2. It is stable in the air, but may be hydrolyzed under acidic conditions.
3. The compound is a compound with tetrahedral coordination geometry, in which Rhodium and chloride ions are surrounded by triphenylphosphine ligands.

Use:
1. Hydridotetrakis(triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I) can be used as a catalyst to participate in a variety of organic synthesis reactions, such as hydrogenation, hydrogenated amination, hydrogenated aldehydes and ketones, and Swiss diazonium reactions.
2. It can also be used to prepare other Rhodium compounds as catalysts for various organic synthesis reactions.

Method:
Hydridotetrakis (triphenylphosphate) rhodium(I) can be prepared by the following steps:
First, the chlorine ligand of [RhCl3(H2O)3] is substituted with triphenylphosphine (PPh3) to obtain [RhCl(PPh3)3].
[RhCl(PPh3)3] is then reacted with sodium sulfite (Na2S2O4) to remove the last chloride ligand to give Hydridotetrakis (triphenylphosphate) rhodium(I).
