Tetraethyll, also known as DCPTE, is an organic compound. Its chemical formula is C10H18Cl2O6P2.

Nature:
DCPTE is a colorless to yellow liquid with a pungent odor. It is soluble in organic solvents and slightly soluble in water.

Use:
DCPTE is mainly used as a catalyst, especially in the production process of polyester resin and polyester fiber. It can also be used as a catalyst for other organic synthesis reactions, such as esterification and polymerization.

Method:
The preparation of DCPTE is usually produced by the reaction of dimethyl dichloromethyldiphosphate with tetraethanolamine, and then the dichlorination reaction is carried out to obtain the DCPTE product.
