| preparation | under atmospheric pressure saturated with carbon monoxide, 5-iodo-2-hydroxyindole (17g) was refluxed with 2g palladium diacetate, 18.2 triethylamine, 150mL methanol, 15mL dimethyl sulfoxide and 2.6gDPPP. After 24 hours, the reaction mixture was filtered to remove the catalyst and concentrate the filtrate. Use 30% ethyl acetate in hexane to chromatography the concentrate on silica gel. The part containing the product is concentrated and placed. The product was precipitated and collected by vacuum filtration to obtain 0.8g(7%) of methyl 5-carboxylate dihydroindol-2-one with off-white solid. |
