A strong alkali anion exchange resin Dowex 2 was used for cleavage of keganitol to obtain furanone with 28% yield. 60 grams of natural equivalent furanone, 480 grams of natural methanol and 3 grams of p-toluenesulfonic acid obtained by the above method are taken, added into a 1000 ml three-mouth bottle, heated and refluxed for 8 hours, the reaction solution is reduced to room temperature, 90 grams of sodium bicarbonate is added, and sodium bicarbonate is filtered after stirring for 30 minutes. The methanol was distilled at normal pressure until there was no distillation, and furanone methyl ether was distilled at reduced pressure with 97% purity and 65% molar yield. |
