There are two main methods for preparing 2-(trifluoromethoxy)acetophenone. Another method is to diazotization of benzoic acid as raw material to produce diazotized benzoic acid methyl ester, which is then reacted with trifluoromethyl ether to obtain 2-(trifluoromethoxy)acetophenone.
