2-Benzaldehyde - Introduction

2-(Trimethylsiloxy) benzaldehyde (abbreviated TMSPA) is an organosilicon compound. The following is a description of the nature, use, method and safety information of TMSPA:

Nature:
-Appearance: Colorless liquid.
-Molecular formula: C11H16O2Si.
-Molecular weight: 212.33g/mol.
-Melting point:-38°C.
-Boiling point: 240-243°C.
-Density: about 0.97 g/mL.
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol and dichloromethane.

Use:
- TMSPA is often used as a reagent in organic synthesis, especially in the preparation of photocrosslinking agents and silicone polymers.
-It is also used in other reactions in organic synthesis, such as the imidazole salt reaction of barker to obtain acid.
- TMSPA has important applications in the synthesis and modification of organosilicon compounds.

Preparation Method:
-The preparation of TMSPA can be obtained by reacting dimethylsilane with oxygen in the presence of a catalyst. The reaction may be carried out in an inert atmosphere, such as nitrogen.
