205526-26-7 - Introduction
(S)-N-FMOC-2-Fluorophenylalanine is an amino acid derivative with the following properties:
1. Appearance: A white crystalline powder.
2. Solubility: soluble in some organic solvents, such as dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dichloromethane.
3. Stability: Under dry conditions,(S)-N-FMOC-2-Fluorophenylalanine has good stability.
4. Photosensitivity: Fmoc protecting group can be removed under ultraviolet irradiation.
The main use of (S)-N-FMOC-2-Fluorophenylalanine is as a starting material for peptide synthesis in solid phase synthesis, and is used to construct polypeptide chains with the amino acid 2-fluorophenylalanine. It can also be used in studies of protein structure and function.
Methods for preparing (S)-N-FMOC-2-Fluorophenylalanine are generally obtained by chemical synthesis of amino acids. First, 2-fluoropropionic acid is reacted with Fmoc-Cl (chloride of The Fmoc protecting group) to produce Fmoc-L-2-fluoropropionic acid.
