1,3, 4,6-tetra-o-acetyl-2-(acetylamino)-is an organic compound with the chemical formula C20H28N2O12.
Properties: This compound is a white solid with a melting point of about 68-72°C and is soluble in some organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, dimethyl sulfoxide and chloroform. It is an acetylated galactose derivative with high stability.
use: 3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-2-(acetylamino)-1 is often used as a reagent and intermediate in organic synthesis. It can be used in the synthesis of other galactose derivatives, for example 2-deoxy-d-galactose can be obtained by reduction.
Preparation method: by reacting 2-acetylamino-2-deoxy-d-galactose with acetic anhydride, 1,3, 4,6-tetra-o-acetyl-2-(acetylamino)-calcium can be obtained.
