di-tert-butyl is an organic phosphorus compound with the formula (C6H5)(C4H9)2P. The following is an introduction to some of its properties, uses, methods and safety information:

-Melting point: About 80-85°C.
-Boiling point: about 170-175 ℃.
-Density: about 0.876g/cm³.

Use:
- di-tert-butyl(phenyl)phosphane is a ligand widely used in organic synthesis, commonly used in organometallic-catalyzed reactions, especially palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions, carbonylation reactions, amination reactions and so on.
-It can also be used as a catalyst precursor and an acid additive for molecular sieves.
Method:
-A common method for preparing di-tert-butyl(phenyl)phosphane is obtained by reacting phenyl tri-tert-butylphosphine and stannous bromide, or by reacting phenyl tri-tert-butylphosphine with phosphorus tribromide.
Safety Information:
- di-tert-butyl(phenyl)phosphane has low toxicity, but it is still necessary to pay attention to safe operation and avoid contact with skin and eyes.
