| Organic synthesis intermediate | 9-fluorenone is an important organic synthesis intermediate, which can be used to make a variety of fine chemicals, mainly used in synthesis Modifiers for polymer materials, bisphenol fluorene, fluorenylbenzoxazine resins, acrylate resins, polyester, polycarbonate and epoxy resins. In the laboratory, fluorene is used as raw material, dimethyl sulfoxide is used as solvent, sodium hydroxide is used as catalyst, and oxygen is used as oxidant. A tower packed reactor is used for oxidation reaction. The reaction liquid can be cooled and filtered to obtain 93% content. Crude fluorenone, the filtrate can be distilled to recover the 94% solvent and part of the crude fluorenone. Crude fluorenone can be refined by directional crystallization to obtain yellow flaky fluorenone with a purity of more than 99.8%. |
