| Plant source | Acacia farnesiana (Linn.) Willd.) (Mimosa) Leguminosae. Shrubs, 2-4 m high; branches with spines, spines up to 1-2cm long. Two pinnate compound leaves, pinna 4-8 pairs, each pinna 10-20 pairs of leaflets, small leaves linear oblong. The flower heads are axillary, 1.5cm in diameter, often in clusters. | biological activity | Acacetin (5,7-Dihydroxy-4 '-methoxyflavone) is an orally effective flavonoid from Tephroseris kirilowii (Turcz.) Holub. Acacetin stopped in the ATP binding pocket of PI3Kγ. Acacetin leads to arrest of cancer cell cycle and induces apoptosis and autophagy. Acacetin has effective anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activities and has the potential to be used in the research of pain-related diseases. |
