| Physical and Chemical Properties | Physical and chemical properties S-adenosine methionine (S-Adenosyl-Lmethionine,SAM) is the only injection drug in liver-protecting and choleretic drugs, that is, S-adenosine methionine for injection with butanedisulfonic acid, with remarkable curative effect and no side effects, which is favored by patients. At the same time, SAM also has a good therapeutic effect on depression and arthritis, and its market demand is huge. S-adenosine methionine is an important metabolite commonly found in all biological cells. It participates in the transmethylation reaction, transsulfur reaction and transaminopropyl reaction of cells, methylation modification of important molecules in the cell, sulfur group storage and transfer; and the synthesis of arginine and spermatine ammonia play an irreplaceable role. |
| Use | Use methyl donors; cofactors for enzyme-catalyzed methylation reactions, including catechol O-methyltransferase (COMT) and DNA methyltransferase (DNMT). Although present in all cells, 85% of all methylation reactions occur in the liver and also regulate liver function, growth and injury. |
