Amodiaquine is used to treat a variety of malaria, especially against other antimalarial drugs (e. G. Chloroquine) malaria caused by the development of drug-resistant Plasmodium falciparum is also used for the acute onset of malaria and is well tolerated.
This product can also be used for the treatment of liver amoebiasis, clonorchiasis, Paragonimiasis, connective tissue disease, etc., and can also be used for the treatment of photosensitive diseases, such as Sun erythema.
pharmacological action
Amodiaquine is an aminoquinoline antimalarial drug and is an effective merocide. Its antimalarial effect is similar to chloroquine, acting on the red phase of Plasmodium, can quickly control the clinical symptoms. This product is also effective against chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium.
dosage and method
oral administration of artesunate tablets 200mg and amodiaquine tablets 600mg daily for falciparum malaria recommended by the Ministry of Health, 3 days later. 2 tablets per week for prevention. The patient was given 3 tablets per serving on the first day, 2 tablets per serving on the 2nd and 3rd day.
