DODECANAMIDE - Introduction
Tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride (Tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride) is a quaternary ammonium compound. It has the molecular formula [(CH3)3N(CH2)14]Cl, and structurally contains a tetradecyl chain and three methyl groups bound to the nitrogen atom, while the chloride ion is bound to the ammonium cation.
