| preparation | a preparation method of octane, the steps of which are as follows:(1) 2773g(10mol) of brominated n-octane is taken for later use;(2) Weighing 241.5g(10.5mol) of metallic sodium and cutting it into small thin strips with an area of about 1 × 3 cm2, standby;(3) Put 50g of bromine n-decane and 20g of metal sodium into the reaction kettle, stir and raise the temperature to 80 ℃, remove the heat source, rely on reaction heating, and maintain it at 120 ℃, continuously add the remaining brominated n-decane dropwise, and add metal sodium, maintain micro-reflux, complete the feeding, control the temperature at 160 ℃, constant temperature for 2 hours;(4) Add 400 grams of 95% ethanol in turn for reaction, add 1000ml of water, separate out organic matter, wash with water to neutral, dry with anhydrous magnesium sulfate, distill and collect the fraction before 140 ℃/1mmHg, wash the remaining fraction with concentrated sulfuric acid to light yellow, wash with water to neutral, after drying, repeatedly purify the obtained with benzene three times, and drain to obtain white crystal dicarane as 1.38Kg,mp60-62 ℃. The molar ratio of the metal sodium of the brominated n-tabutane is 1: 1.01. |
