Physical and Chemical PropertiesPolyacrylonitrile is a polymer of acrylonitrile obtained by copolymerizing acrylonitrile, methyl acrylate, and iconic acid. It is the raw material of nitrile theory (commonly known as artificial wool). The chemical formula [CH2 = CH-CN]n has a structure average molecular weight of 2.5 × 104 to 8 × 104.
