Protopanaxadiol - Introduction
Protopanaxadiol, also known as ginseng alcohol (ginsenoside), is a ginsenoside compound extracted from ginseng (Panax ginseng). It is one of the main active ingredients in ginseng.
Protopanaxadiol has a variety of biological activities and pharmacological effects. It is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine and is considered to have anti-fatigue, anti-aging, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects. In addition, Protopanaxadiol has also been found to have a protective effect on the cardiovascular system, nervous system, liver and kidney.
Protopanaxadiol is generally prepared by water-alcohol extraction method, that is, ginseng is chopped and soaked in water-alcohol solvent, and purified Protopanaxadiol is finally obtained through the steps of extraction, filtration and concentration.
