PyrocatecholVioletGr - Introduction
Easily soluble in water and aqueous ethanol, slightly soluble in cold absolute ethanol. Insoluble in non-polar solvents (such as ether, benzene, xylene), its aqueous solution is yellow, when the acidity increases, it turns from yellow to red, its aqueous solution is yellow at pH 1-5~7, pH 7~9 is purple, pH 9~11 is reddish purple. The aqueous solution is yellow and stable, but it is easily oxidized by oxidants.
