Sulphur - Reference Information

Use Used to make sulfuric acid, dyes and rubber products, and also used in pharmaceuticals
production method (1) soil method: pyrite and coal are added into a sulfur smelting furnace, roasted at high temperature, sublimated sulfur, cooled to obtain coarse sulfur, and then melted, precipitated and molded to obtain finished sulfur. Sulfur residue is soaked and heated to obtain soil ammonium sulfate and crude sulfur. The exhaust gas is emptied after being treated by the recovery tower. The main reactions are as follows. (2) The sulfur dioxide gas produced by boiling roasting pyrite by boiling roasting method is mixed with the blast after dust removal, anthracite is added to the reduction furnace or semi-water gas is introduced for reduction, and then emptied after the converter, condenser and bubble tower. The liquid sulfur is released by the condenser and the bubble tower and filtered to obtain the finished sulfur product. The main reaction formula is as follows. (3) The semi-magnetized roasting reduction method generates gas from pyrite tailings through a magnetized furnace, which is sent to a reduction furnace after dust removal, and anthracite is added to the furnace for reduction. After conversion, through the waste heat boiler, heat exchanger to the primary cooler, and then through the heat exchanger, secondary conversion, secondary cooling to the bubble tower. The sulfur from the primary cooling and bubble tower is sent to the finished tank to produce the finished sulfur product. (4) The natural gas method passes acid gas and air into the combustion furnace and waste heat boiler. The furnace gas is removed from the first-level converter through the first-level condenser and the first-level trap, then from the second-level condenser and the second-level trap to the second-level converter, and finally from the third-level condenser and the third-level trap. The acid gas and air entering the reheat furnace also enter the corresponding converter. The sulfur captured by each trap flows into the sulfur liquid sealing tank to produce a finished sulfur product. The main reaction formula is as follows. (5) Petroleum refinery gas method will acid raw gas, fuel gas and air into the combustion furnace, the generated furnace gas through the waste heat boiler, heat exchanger, the first converter, liquid sulfur condenser bottom outflow into the liquid sulfur storage tank, with a scraper to scrape out the sulfur, sulfur products.
