Fill the flask equipped with reflux condenser with NaBr (10.8g, 105 mmol), 30% H2O2 aqueous solution (14.2g, 125 mmol) and water (7 mL). The mixture was cooled in an ice/water bath and concentrated sulfuric acid (6.7mL,125mmol) was added dropwise. Remove the cooling bath and add TMSCHF2 (12.4g,100mmol) to the resulting dark mixture. The reaction flask was immersed in a 40°C water bath and stirred at this temperature under the irradiation of a household incandescent bulb (75W) until the bromine color almost disappeared (about 1 hour). The upper phase was separated, filtered through MgSO4 and distilled. Colorless liquid, yield 16.2g,80%.
