本品系自黑曲霉或黄曲霉等发酵液提取而得,相对分子质量9300。本品为灰白色或褐绿色结晶或光亮透明片状物。几乎不溶于水,微溶于碱性缓冲液,等电点pl=6.3。氰化物抑制酶活性。它能催化尿酸迅速氧化,最终生成尿囊酸。精制尿酸酶注入人体,能降低血液中尿酸含量,增加尿中尿囊酸排泄,从而消除尿酸在血液和组织中的潴留。
可见全身性荨麻疹样发痒,肌注局部发红。
