rhododendrol, chemical name 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) ethanol, is an organic compound. It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of 76-78 degrees Celsius, a molecular formula of C10H12O2, and a molecular weight of 164.2g/mol. rhododendrol has a fragrant odor.
rhododendrol is primarily used in cosmetics and personal care products as a whitening agent. It has the effect of inhibiting the production of melanocytes and can reduce the formation of pigmentation and freckles. In addition, rhododendrol can also be used in medicine as an anti-allergic agent.
