Abstract:
The performance of 2-ethylhexyl 2-ethylhexyl phosphate in indium extraction was studied, such as hydrogen ion concentration, extractant concentration, salting-out agent concentration, the effect of indium concentration and other factors on the extraction was studied. The results show that indium can be extracted quantitatively under suitable conditions. On the other hand, in the case where the concentration of the hydrohalic acid is high, indium can be extracted, but not quantitatively. With sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid can be quantitative back extraction.

2-ethylhexyl hydrogen -2-ethylhexyl phosphate (English name: diethylhexyl phosphate), also known as DOP, is an organic phosphate compound.
In terms of nature, 2-ethylhexyl hydrogen-2-ethylhexylphosphate is a colorless to yellow liquid with a weak special aroma. It has low water solubility and is easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene and ethyl acetate. It is a flammable liquid that can dissolve many plastics and resins.
In Terms of Use, 2-ethylhexyl hydrogen-2-ethylhexylphosphate is mainly used as a plasticizer, especially for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials. It can increase the flexibility, ductility and cold resistance of PVC, and improve its processing performance and comprehensive performance. In addition, it can also be used in a variety of rubber, synthetic fibers, dyes and coatings industries.
