Preparation Method:
(¾)-HYDRAZINE HYDROCHLORIDE is generally formed by the reaction of phenylhydrazine and 2-fluoro-4-methyl-chlorobenzene. First, phenylhydrazine is reacted with hydrogen chloride under basic conditions to obtain phenylhydrazine hydrochloride. Phenylhydrazine hydrochloride is then reacted with 2-fluoro-4-methyl-chlorobenzene to yield (a)-HYDRAZINE HYDROCHLORIDE.
