Use | Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, mainly used in the dye industry. Used as dye intermediate |
Production method | It is obtained by the addition of p-methoxyaniline hydrochloride and sodium thiocyanate. Add 350L of water to the glass-lined reaction pot, heat to 60 ℃, and add 220kg p-methoxyaniline under stirring to completely dissolve it. Then 220kg of 30% industrial hydrochloric acid was added to make the feed liquid slightly blue to Congo red test paper. After 10min, 166.7kg (calculated as 100%) of sodium thiocyanate was added. Heating, slowly heating to 105 ℃, reflux 24h. Then it is cooled to below 25°C and filtered, the filter cake is washed with water, and dried to obtain 300kg of p-methoxyphenyl thiourea. |
