use | 2-bromovinyltrimethylsilane can be used as an intermediate in pharmaceutical synthesis. |
Preparation | The HBr gas was bulged into the mixture of trimethylsilylacetylene (20g,0.2mol) and benzoyl peroxide (145mg,0.6mmol,0.3mol%) cooled in an ice bath for 15 minutes (monitoring the reaction process by 1HNMR). The reaction mixture was diluted with ether (50mL) and carefully washed with saturated NaHCO3(30mL) and then washed with saturated NaCl(30mL). The ether layer was dried with MgSO4. Filtered and evaporated to obtain a crude product mixture, which mainly contains 2-bromovinyltrimethylsilane (27.4g,75% yield) and is a colorless liquid. |
