| Overview | L-pantoprazole chemical name:(S)-5-difluoromethoxy-2-[[(3, 4-dimethoxy-2-pyridyl)-methyl] sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole, in clinical practice, pantoprazole is commonly used in its salt form, includes pantoprazole sodium and pantoprazole magnesium. L-pantoprazole sodium (S-pantoprazolesodium), developed and marketed by Emcure India in 2006under the trade name PanPure. For the treatment of peptic ulcer, reflux esophagitis and other diseases associated with gastric acid secretion disorders. The compound has a sulfur-containing chiral center. Studies have shown that pantoprazole with S-configuration has better curative effect, higher bioavailability and lower toxic and side effects than its racemate and R-configuration, therefore, it is of great significance to study the preparation method of optically pure pantoprazole. |
