(R)-MOP - Introduction
(R)-2-(diphenylphosphino)-2 '-methoxy-1,1'-binaphthyl (R)-MOP, also known as (R)-BINAP, is a chiral organic molecule. Its chemical name is (1R,2R)-(-)-1,1 '-binaphthyl-2',2 "-Dibis (diphenylphosphine), and its chemical formula is C44H30OP2.
(R)-BINAP has many useful properties, including excellent solubility, thermal stability, and acid-base stability. It is a colorless crystalline solid, soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, dimethylformamide and dichloromethane. It also has high optical rotation and the ability to recognize heavy metal ions.
