Application | (S)-5-bromomethyl-2-pyrrolidone can be used as intermediates in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical intermediates, mainly used in laboratory research and development process and chemical production process. |
preparation | (S)-5-methyl-2-pyrrolidone as raw material, NBS as bromination reagent, BPO as initiator, (S)-5-bromomethyl-2-pyrrolidone was obtained by radical bromination reaction in carbon tetrachloride solution. (S)-5-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, 30mL carbon tetrachloride, N-bromosuccinimide and benzoyl peroxide were added to the reaction system and reacted at 60 ℃ for 7H, the reaction was monitored by TLC . After the reaction was completed, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, and the obtained crude product was purified by column chromatography (V petroleum ether: V ethyl acetate = 10: 1). 1.20g of a light yellow solid was obtained. |
