1,1,3,5,5-Pentamethyl-1,5-divinyl-3-(vinyldimethylsilyloxy)pentanetrisiloxane - Introduction
Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilane, also known as Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilane, with the chemical formula (CH3)2Si(CH2SiHCl(CH2CH2Si(CH3)2O)3), is an organosilicon compound.
Nature:
-Appearance: Colorless to light yellow liquid
-Molecular weight: about 414.99g/mol
-Boiling point: about 225 ℃
-Density: approx. 0.94g/cm³
-Solubility: Soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ether and dimethylformamide
Use:
Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy) is methylsilane used as an intermediate and crosslinking agent for the synthesis of organosilicon compounds. It can be used to prepare various polysiloxane materials, silicone rubber and nanomaterials. In addition, it can also be used to prepare silicone resins with high dielectric constant and low loss for electronic devices and optical materials.
Preparation Method:
Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilane is generally prepared by the following steps:
1. vinyl chlorosilane and methyl chlorosilane are reacted to prepare vinyl dimethyl silane.
2. Vinyldimethylsilane is reacted with trichlorosilane to obtain tris (vinyldimethylsilyl chloride) methylsilane.
3. Finally, Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilane was prepared by reacting with silanol, dechlorinating and introducing siloxy groups.
Safety Information:
Tris(vinyldimethylsiloxy)methylsilane is more viscous and has a lower possibility of systemic absorption. However, it is still necessary to follow general laboratory safety practices, such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (e. g. gloves, goggles and protective clothing). Avoid contact with skin, eyes and respiratory tract. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and ask a doctor for help.
