Use | Used as organic reagent and reducing agent. |
Production method | It is obtained by the condensation of benzoin under the catalysis of furfural under potassium cyanide. Heat 8L of water, 3L of ethanol and 4kg of furfural to 60-70 ℃ in a water bath, and slowly add 200g of potassium cyanide solution dissolved in 600ml of water under stirring. The exotherm of the reaction automatically heats up to 80-90°C, and the crystallization will be obtained later. After being placed, filter, wash the crystallization with water and methanol until it is colorless, and recrystallize with ethanol, which is the finished product of chaff. |
