overview | 1,5-naphthalene diisocyanate (l,5-naphthalene diisocyanate, NDI for short) is a class of polyurethane (PU) synthesized from diisocyanate components. Compared with MDI and TDI, NDI has higher melting point, higher molecular rigidity, regularity and symmetry, which can fundamentally improve the phase separation degree of polyurethane and make NDI-based polyurethane obtain more excellent mechanical and physical properties. NDI-based polyurethane has the characteristics of high wear resistance, high heat resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent dynamic performance. It is mainly used in high dynamic load and heat resistance occasions. |
appearance | white to light yellow flake crystalline solid. |
product characteristics | NDI(1, 5-naphthalene diisocyanate) is a raw material for advanced polyurethane, which can be used to make polyurethane elastomers with high elasticity and high hardness. NDI polyurethane elastomer has very excellent performance, it has any other kinds of polyurethane elastomer incomparable performance, such as excellent dynamic performance, extremely high mechanical properties, outstanding cutting resistance, wear resistance and temperature resistance and so on. Therefore, NDI polyurethane elastomers are widely used in automobile shock absorbers, forklift bearing wheels, printing and dyeing textile rubber rollers, rubber scrapers, bridge building buffer blocks, entertainment and leisure, military industry, etc. The cast elastomer made of NDI has excellent dynamic characteristics and wear resistance, and has small damping, high resilience and less internal heat generation, which can be applied to high dynamic load and heat resistance occasions. Molded products made of NDI have high tear strength, low abrasion, low compression set and excellent resilience. NDI-based microporous polyurethane elastomer products have low internal heat generation and small permanent deformation under dynamic load, and can maintain good rigidity. This special microporous polyurethane material is mainly used for automobile shock absorption and buffer parts. |
