Nature:
1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-N-(3-cyano-4-() phenyl)-is a colorless crystalline solid, soluble in water and ethanol. Its chemical structure is CH3CH(CH3)COONa. 1-(4-chloryl)-N-(3-cyano-4-(phenyl))-phenyl is odorless, alkaline and has a low melting point.

The preparation of 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-N-(3-cyano-4-() phenyl)-is obtained by reacting 2-methylpropionic acid with sodium hydroxide. An appropriate amount of 2-methylpropionic acid is first dissolved in water and then sodium hydroxide solution is added.
