Use | The pigment is commonly known as para-red, giving a dark brown-red color. Compared with the same kind of azo pigment, the pigment has low solvent resistance and poor light fastness, adding a small amount of titanium dioxide, the light fastness is further significantly reduced, and the acid/alkali, soap and other sensitive, mainly used in low-cost printing ink and art coloring. |

Overview | Para-red is a color-developing pigment that is a dark-red solid, darkening color above 120 °c. Melting Point 256 °c. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in hot toluene and hot ethanol, soluble in hot aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (10%), usually from p-nitroaniline after diazotization, in an ice bath with β-naphthol reaction. |
