use | 2-hydrazinyl pyrimidine can be used as an intermediate in pharmaceutical synthesis. |
Preparation | The preparation of 2-hydrazinyl pyrimidine is as follows: 2-chloropyrimidine (0.70g,6.11mmol) of pyridine (15mL) and anhydrous hydrazine (2.5mL) solution are stirred at ambient temperature for 5 minutes, and then pyridine (8mL) is added. The reaction mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 1.5 hours and concentrated in vacuum. The residue was suspended in water (4mL), the resulting solids were collected by suction filtration and air-dried. 2-hydrazinyl pyrimidine was obtained as a colorless solid with 25% yield (0.171g). |
