1030380-51-8 - Introduction
4,6-bis (3,5-di(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)-2-MethylpyriMidine is a compound also known as BTPDM. Its chemical formula is C38H28N4 and its molecular weight is 548.65g/mol.
1. Nature:
-Appearance: White or slightly yellow crystalline powder.
-Melting Point: about 230-235 ℃.
-Solubility: It is soluble in most organic solvents, such as chloroform, dichloromethane and benzene, but insoluble in water.
2. Use:
-As a fluorescent probe: Due to its aromatic ring and pyridine ring, it can be used as a biological or chemical sensor for detecting metal ions or analyzing other compounds in samples.
-As an electroluminescent device material: BTPDM is an organic electrically excited light-emitting material, which can be used in organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and other devices.
3. Preparation method:
- BTPDM preparation method is more complex, generally need to be synthesized by multi-step reaction. One of the common preparation methods is to synthesize the target product by nucleophilic substitution and condensation reaction using the existing compound iron 4-pyridine acetate and 2-methylpyrimidine.
4. Safety Information:
The safety of-BTPDM has not been fully determined, Please conduct sufficient safety assessment and related experiments before use.
